Liquid biofuels
Net Zero by 2050, A Roadmap for the Global Energy Sector, published by the International Energy Agency in May 2021, defines liquid biofuels as: ‘Liquid fuels derived from biomass or waste feedstocks and include ethanol and biodiesel. They can be classified as conventional and advanced liquid biofuels according to the bioenergy feedstocks and technologies used to produce them and their respective maturity.’
